Our efforts to raise funds here in America are in direct
support of the amazing volunteers who created The Kushi Project.
The Kushi Project of Rishikesh, led by Madelien
Broekman, is primarily an after school educational project created to
help the highly disadvantaged children in the region. “Kushi” is
Hindu for Happiness. The program supports some 70 children in
Rishikesh. The support focuses on 4 key areas:
- To improve the formal education provided to the
children
- To improve the physical well-being of the
children
- To nurture the children’s natural creative
abilities
- To raise awareness of different issues/problems
in daily life
Despite the apparent simplicity of their goals and
their beautiful intentions, The Kushi Project is suffering from a lack
of funds.
Our goal is to provide the support needed to build
The Kushi Project into a powerful example for the rest of the world by
fully developing these 4 key areas of the project.
