New Possibilities Children’s Foundation partners with The Kushi Charitable Society to establish educational infrastructure in highly disadvantaged regions of India. 

We’ve designed a holistic, multi-pronged approach to shifting the community consciousness towards education and social awareness and empowering people to improve the socioeconomic conditions of their families for generations to come.  Through the education and personal development of their children, we’re working to break the cycle of poverty that envelops much of the developing world.   

Our present area of focus is Rishikesh, in the state of Uttaranchal in northern India. Rishikesh is located at the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the sacred river Ganges.  It is considered by many to be the yoga and meditation capitol of the world. 

Our approach in Rishikesh includes the following programs:

• The Kushi Center - We establish a community education center complete with children’s library, computer and language labs, after school programs and extracurricular activities and classes designed to enrich the child’s mind and spirit.
• The Kushi Scholarship Program – We provide the financial support to allow children to continue their education well past the 5^th grade.  Our program puts an incentive in both the child and the parent to place more emphasis on a quality education and personal development.
